Small Business Tech Clinic Attendee Code of Conduct and Terms and Conditions

1.    Definitions

2.  Purpose of the Event

The Event is a professional forum for learning, discussion, and collaboration. It is not a sales or marketing platform for attendees.

3.    Ticket Policy

Tickets are non-refundable.

Tickets may be transferred to another individual if the original Attendee cannot attend. To transfer a ticket, the Attendee must notify the Organiser prior to the Event and provide the replacement attendee’s details.

If the Event is postponed, tickets will remain valid for the new date.

If the Event is cancelled, a refund will be issued.

4.    Non-Solicitation Policy

To maintain a collaborative environment:

Attendees must not distribute Promotional Materials, market their own services, or solicit business at the Event.

Handing out business cards or sharing contact information is permitted only when requested by another individual.

The Organiser reserves the right to remove any Attendee engaging in unsolicited promotion.

5.    Professional Conduct

Attendees must act with integrity, courtesy, and professionalism. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. The Organiser may remove any Attendee who breaches these standards.

6.    Respect for Privacy

Attendees must respect the privacy of others. Recording conversations, photographing individuals without consent, or misusing contact details shared at the Event is prohibited.

7.    Media and Photography Consent

The Organiser may take photographs and/or record the Event for promotional or archival purposes.

If an Attendee does not wish to appear in such material, they must notify the Organiser in advance. The Organiser will take reasonable steps to exclude or remove them from published media.

8.    Data Protection

By registering and attending, Attendees consent to the Organiser processing their personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Organiser’s Privacy Policy. This includes communications relating to the Event.

9.    Liability

The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by Attendees or their property during the Event, except where caused by the Organiser’s negligence.

10.   Force Majeure

The Organiser is not liable for delay, alteration, or cancellation of the Event caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. If cancelled due to such circumstances, refunds will be issued.

11.   Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
